A few decades ago, the fashion trend boned in Europe, flowed to the United States and reached to Japan. Though this time lag was usually for a year or more, it is said that almost synchronized now by the current information society. Moreover, currently Tokyo is known as the city where on the leading edge of fashion trend in the world. (Do you think so still?)
The buyers from Europe and America had come to research to Shibuya every year as "Area in which the fashion trend was experimenting earliest in the worlds" since the latter half of the 90's. Around 2000 it was a common opinion in ladies' fashion industry in the world that the best to see the Tokyo street to grasp the trend. The street in Shibuya or Harajuku was the top fashion runway and proving experimental fields of the earliest trend in the world for the buyers. It is also said that the Tokyo street came in the fixed-point observation place for every seasons for fashion industry's persons concerned

If this statement is true, the Japanese domestic fashion corporations and organizations have not yet taken any dynamic action in this area. Even if these corporations desired for the overseas presence in Japan, the actual condition was that they did not have the countermeasure and know-how to accomplish it. It is thought that almost all things are not possible with just the response to attention from the world even though there is solid evidence that the nations of the globe have taken an intense interest in the Japanese fashion trends.

Even after so many years this trial and error stage is yet not over. In the past, Shibuya was the core fix-point observation place and still currently stand as of today too.
Would this kind of movement become like Ezra Feivel Vogel's "Japan As Number One"? Obviously the reason for this sort of skeptic relates to the closed up nature of Japan thus resulting in not enough exploitations in the overseas market.

The action needed to go along with synchronization is obviously slow and standard in this country. Do not expect quick and clever movements like American rationalism in Japan.

In countries like Asia this trend essence of Tokyo's real clothes is taken in well and reaches to a market. The essence of Tokyo has also been taken by a lot of brands , almost synchronous fashion trend.
While there are thousands of designer brand names in Japan; only a few of the Japanese designer's brands become famous and take on wings. This means that command a premium to the scarcity of the information. Generally, Japan is inexperienced in sending information to the world and this approach is also a problem of the methodology.
No Japanese website had paid any attention to popness and treated it as a domestic fashion during the initial phases of the start of Japan-fashion.com(JF).
There is not a position of JF in neither any country nor the market, dare to say under grand culture and the person.
